South Kolkata’s older, established pockets — Lakewood, Golf Green, the Loudon Street/Park Street belt — bring a different brief than a new-build tower: more established structures, tighter street access for material delivery, and often a commercial or retail component alongside residential work. Our two South Kolkata projects show that range.
Our projects in South Kolkata

AURAM
A 1,100 sq ft flagship jewellery store — Indo-Gothic meets minimalist modern-European commercial design.
Why clients in South Kolkata choose Choukaath
- Residential and commercial in one studio: from a Lakewood home to a Loudon Street retail flagship, one team designs both.
- Comfortable with older structures: South Kolkata’s established buildings need a more careful read of existing wiring, walls and access before work starts.
- Retail and storefront experience: display, lighting and customer-flow planning for commercial spaces, not just homes.
- Turnkey, fixed BOQ: one signed scope, one team, one point of contact.
Frequently asked questions
Do you design commercial and retail spaces, not just homes?
Yes — AURAM, our Loudon Street project, is a flagship jewellery store. We design residential and commercial interiors under the same turnkey process.
Can you work in older South Kolkata buildings?
Yes. We check wiring load, wall condition and street access for material delivery before finalising the plan — common considerations in South Kolkata’s older structures.
What does interior design cost for a South Kolkata home or store?
Residential costs follow our city-wide interior design cost in Kolkata ranges; commercial quotes depend on the fit-out scope — get in touch for a project-specific estimate.
